Barbara Fast
Barbara Fast is a CGI Initiative for Collaborative Government Fellow.
Ms. Fast served more than 32 years in U.S. Army where she retired at the rank of Major General. Her position required a range of expertise in intelligence, operations and security systems, including secure information and intelligence processing, networks and decision making in a U.S. and multinational environment.
Ms. Fast's decorated military career included key leadership roles with the U.S. Army, joint commands and the National Security Agency. She also served as the intelligence director for the Coalition Joint Task Force in Iraq, and led the development of tactical and national intelligence solutions for a broad community of stakeholders.
Since 2008 she has served as an executive in the private sector leading integrated intelligence, cyber and security solutions for multiple U.S. government customers in defense, intelligence and civilian organizations.
Ms. Fast currently serves as senior vice president and senior advisor on cybersecurity at CGI and a member of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) Cyber Council, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and the National Security Agency Advisory Board. She also is a member of the American Public Education, Inc Board of Directors.
