Government faces major challenges in 2012 spanning national security, job creation, fiscal sustainability, environmental sustainability and health care. To address these challenges, government initiatives will increase in complexity in terms of the sheer size of programs launched, the degree of innovative solutions required, the number and type of stakeholders involved and the level of collaboration necessary between multiple levels of government and the private and nonprofit sectors to achieve public goals.
